Shrine was a joy in the making

A few weeks ago I posted about the shrine auction  for the Oaxaca Street Children grassroots.
Here is my shrine when it was about 1/2 way complete. It does not look like this anymore.
A 10 inch nail, copper tubing, and fused glass sacred heart,
wound together with copper wire, make up the cross.
This is the base of the shrine I made. The attic has cellophane roses and marigolds.
There is a tin roof.

The completed version  has a beautiful glowing Our lady of Guadalupe on the wall behind the cross.
She is wearing a dark blue cloak surrounded with gold rays. Her face divine.
There are more embellishments, nails, bolts, rusty bits on all sides of the finished shrine.

Stay tuned. Reveal of this finished shrine and all of the shrines to be auctioned will be in about 2 weeks.

Shrine Auction starts May 1.
All proceeds go to the Oaxaca Street children grassroots.
