a virgin a day

“In your light I learn how to love.
In your beauty, how to make poems.
You dance inside my chest where no-one sees you,
but sometimes I do,
and that sight becomes this art.”
~ Rumi

  1. I love this piece of artwork. Do Rumi's words speak to you? By the looks of it, I would say "Yes"

    Peace

  5. One of my favorite Rumi poems of all time. And how wonderful that you have created such an Arabic looking Mary. Her headdress and her gown would make any middle eastern woman quite proud. She is utterly beautiful. Thank you for such a lovely, joyful post!

  6. dear one,

each morning we have thrown open the doors to our hearts.

we have called out glory, love, compassion.

day after day we have set out welcoming chairs in the

    house of belonging.

lifting the veil of sacred existence.

beveled off the edges of difference and distance

    to see more deeply the

    unbearable beauty of simply being

    ONE.

for this and so much more i thank you,

and look forward to our forever

    mornings.
