Mountain wildflowers

Last week we drove up to the mountains in southern Colorado.
We went up on Navajo Peak Trail.
Stunning views,
Cool weather,
Aromatic,
 misty,
gorgeous ..
Tiny little perfect flowers
delicate and pink
stand out on the verdant floor.
Forest flora
past their prime
wilting beautifully.
Lee ventured off with his walking stick
I danced in a meadow.

  2. Beautiful images, Gemma. I especially liked the marriagae of the words "wilting beautifully". There is beauty in all our stages of life.

  3. Beautiful photos! I can just see you dancing in the meadow. HB and I were married in a meadow on property we owned near Cripple Creek, CO.

I was always amazed at the delicate tiny flowers that grew in the mountains. Love those pink ones.

  6. Just got in from an evening walk in our woodland, we sat for a while gazing at the moon reflecting on the water with the mists rising. How wonderful to be able to share our moments of beauty - your flowers, trees and meadows sound like paradise! Have a lovely week.x
