Postcards from Paradise

On a recent
peaceful walk through the Northern Arizona Arboretum
we enjoyed
a wide variety of colorful plants and wildlife.
There were
birds, butterflies, bees,squirrels,
and an
occasional rabbit.

The
 gentle sound of running water
 soothed my spirit.
We walked further
into
an open meadow
and
a
spectacular view of Mt. Humphreys.

  2. thanks, missy,
    for the Arizona stroll
    so different
    from my own...

    know this:
    it is the 'occasional rabbit'
    that
    always gives me
    Extra High Hopes.

    Paradise, indeed

  5. The best time is spent walking among the natural, I love the sound of water, ocean, river or stream, all soothing to the spirit. I'm off to meet with my son and new grandbaby this morning in Derbyshire Peak District, it's half way between our houses, she is eight weeks already, have only seen her 3 times. Taking lunch in our old camper van!

    Have a lovely week. x

  7. Your post brings back fond memories for me, as one who went to NAU for both my undergrauate degree as well as my Master's. I used to call it the bungy cord theory...always drawing people back...beautiful!
