Our Lady

On a recent road trip
we stopped @ a small cemetery in Hayden Az.
We walked in reverence.
among the many old graves.

Found this tombstone
a
vintage relief divine feminine
in
worn concrete.

  3. Ah, a great find in an old cemetery. Worn she may be, but beautiful in her worness--like the Velveteen Rabbit.

  5. You have made her look like a Native Woman, Gemma.
    I have been reading this book The Forest Lover all about Emily Carr.
    I was surprised that I didn't know her art...thank god for google, I think you would like her, and her story...
    anyway I liked the words you chose for your post...you always keep it
    short and smart! And here I am rambling on, {sigh}

  9. Truly beautiful Gemma. It's amazing what you can find in an old cemetery, and each headstone and words makes you wonder about that person. xo
