Haiku my heart zen

Cyan, creosote
hillside Buddha contemplates
desert offering
~
Often when in the desert, my mind wanders off.
It gets carried away by the scent of sage and creosote that ride the gentle breeze.

Completely taken away by the paradox
of all and nothing
that coexist here.
The zen of place doth haiku my heart.

Haiku my heart

  13. Since I have known you Gemma, you have made me aware of the beating heart of the desert, when I once thought it was simply a dry, desolate Mother nature discard. This is beautiful. xo
