Here I painted her portrait as part of my journal:
That journal has been sent on to the next artist
who will add their own Georgia O'Keeffe inspirations.
Eventually it will journey across the ocean
then return to me.
~
Meanwhile I received Stephanie's journal.
She has chosen to honor Marc Chagall.
We are collaborating on the journal covers this time. This is a WIP for Chagall |
This is a sneak peek at one of the Chagall pages made for this journal.
We are not "copying" their work, however I was inspired by a similar piece
Chagall painted....maybe it's all the babies.
~
Another collaboration.
'Sisterhood of the traveling journals'
is also making it's rounds.
I will share some of those pages here as well.
I love this, Gemma! You've been inspired by Chagall and all the beautiful babies in your life! I've been looking at Chagall's work since I'll be getting Steph's journal next. So much going on in his paintings, I could really look at each one for a long time :-)
ReplyDeleteWHOA- I LOVE, LOVE. LOVE what you've done for my book, Gemma! SO gorgeous!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Gemma. She is beautiful. Great work. You CAN copy the masters. Many people attend schools to learn to copy the masters. As long as its' 100 years so I 've been told. I always try to copy Van Gogh's work, he so inspires me. Great work.
ReplyDeleteAwesome journal pages, girl!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love Chagall. You did a fabulous job because I can see both of you in there!!
