Addicted to Chile ~ Haiku my heart

Every September
someone in our family
drives five hundred miles
to
Near Gallup on the way to Hatch NM

Hatch New Mexico
for the seasonal harvest
delicious chile
~

Usually we get about 30 pounds. It
 is roasted, then frozen,
brought back in ice chests,
and divided up among family.
~
We love it!
Ancients traded them
Habanero's valuable
Satisfying gold
