Creative U turn
Week 9 TAW

This week Julia suggested we read our morning pages.
She asked us to look for recurring themes. What have we been whining about?
What changes or shifts have occured....
Mostly I couldn't read my own first A.M. writing.
So don't know what my problem was.:-)
She asked about creative U turns we've made. I started looking back through some of my old art projects. I found this shrine I made out of an altoid tin. It was for an art trade. Connected across the miles with glitter and glue ,wires and hearts and friendship.
While I have turned away from some artistic opportunities in my life.
Afraid of ?

There is one thing I know for sure.
I don't want to make a creative U turn from blogland.
It is what keeps me creating.

  2. What a neat idea an art trade is. I love what you did with the Altoid tin, Gemma. I don't think you have it in you to not be creative in everything you do!

  4. It can be hard to look at our past abandoned artworks without being overwhelmed -- but you seem to be doing really well! Besides, your tin is so cute ;)

Sorry to hear you couldn't read those MPs... I have none to read from my little blocked period during the course. In a way it made the task a lot easier -- can you imagine rereading all of them in one week? I don't think I could stomach it... it's probably for the best your morning handwriting is illegible.

  5. gemma,

I think blogging keeps me creating too. All the inspiration from everyone and now all those classes online. I can't stop creating now,

  8. I love your tin of things. It is creative in itself. I know that blogging has indeed given me more "umph." I see so many creative artists (like you) and it makes me want to get in my studio and do something. Thanks for sharing all your good stuff. I enjoy.

  9. The revamped altoid tin is beautiful and very meaningful...nice job! I so agree....blogging has been a wonderful tool in meeting new friends and sharing our creativity with one another and I can't imagine life without it.

I haven't had a chance to read my morning pages yet. :)
