Recovering a Sense of Faith
This is the end of our Artist Way journey.
I've learned alot this time around and have met some wonderful like minded souls along the way.Thank you all for being here.
I am now riding the dragon!
Hanging on for dear life but I am on board and can do it!
Julie Cameron wrote a poem at the end of chapter 12.
I love it:
Words For It
I wish I could take language
and fold it like cool, moist rags.
I would lay words on your forehead.
I would wrap words on your wrists.
"There,there" my words would say-
or something better.
I would ask them to murmur,
"Hush" and "Shh, shh, it's all right."
I would ask them to hold you all night.
I wish I could take language
and daub and soothe and cool
Where fever, blisters and burns.
Where fever, turns you against you.
I wish I could take language
And heal the words that were the wounds
You have no names for.
Namaste
Gemma, I'm so glad I found you through our artist way journey :) You ride that dragon so well!
ReplyDeleteCreative blessings being tossed your way now, like rose petals to fall at your feet and scent the air deliciously...
Gemma, it's been a pleasure sharing The Artist's Way journey with you too. Wishing you a continuing journey brimming with love and creativity! Ride that dragon, girl!
ReplyDeleteSounds like the journey was rewarding for you Gemma. It's nice to meet new friends. I like that quote by Vincent and speaking of Vincent, after seeing your painting of Madame Ginoux I was inspired. I ran outside to my studio and dug out my old Dr. Gachet painting and I am going to post my version. You always give me inspiration of sorts. Thanks for that. Oh by the way I did make tamales.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words, as always Gemma. I hadn't realized you'd been on a journey (I tend to hone in on particulars and miss the big pic at times. I'm seeing that this may well be a problem all the way around! LOL) I so very much enjoy your art work. One of my faves so far is your Van Gogh submission. Just brilliantly done!
ReplyDeleteLovely poem! Sounds like you're going through some big transformations.
ReplyDeleteGemma,
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful, beautiful poem. Thanks for sharing it.
I am thrilled that you benefited so much from The Artists Way this time around.
