Thinking about:

How to get the most out of the holidays
with the least amount of effort.

Peace on Earth
starts right here.

My Charlie Brown Christmas tree.
It's small
decked out to the max.
Love it.

Making some cookies.
I already have red, white and green
cookie dough in the fridge....
Nope saving that for when the kids are here.

Eating cookies...
I can do that all by myself!

For sure some Chai tea...
or maybe Baileys.

Mandy and Jeff returning from French Polynesia.
They stayed in one of those Tahitian bungalows over the ocean,
came home to shovel snow in Flagstaff.

Buying new ornaments to exchange @ party.

Meeting my sons girlfriend tomorrow.

Accomplishments at work
I did good!

Glad it's the weekend.

Thinking about my glittersisters

and my anamcara

mi hermana

Yes you!
Thinking about you today

Next week is the Solstice.
It seems bright this year.

Extending Yule greetings

  1. Been thinking about you, ancestral sister!!! I am continuing to do cleaning in advance of Kristen's homecoming (actually a big project ongoing all fall). I discovered some Bailey's and some Amaretto when I cleaned out an under-counter cabinet. Love both in coffee (but I can't drink coffee after noon, and I can't start drinking booze that early!) What a dilemma! Maybe New Year's Eve would work, as I can sleep in the next day.

  2. I love your banner Gemma. Bailey's sounds good and in fact I think I will pick some up. Kahlua sounds good too. You are all set for the holidays and you sound like you are in the spirit of things. Happy Holdays to you and yours.

  4. Beautiful self-portrait and so glad you are back, Gemma! I miss your posts. Wondering if the portrait Dana Cooper did for her Different Strokes challenge is you! (Is it???)

  5. Thinking about you, too, dear Gemma. I love your header! I was craving Kahlua but hubby just never thinks to buy it. Last night he brought home gingerbread eggnog and some bourbon. Tasted just like Kahlua and cream to me. Yay. :) Cheers.

    * Baileys, I think I need to pick some up. I like it straight up or over ice cream is good too!

    Big hugs coming your way.

  11. Baileys is yummy this time of year, it goes in most hot drinks I find! Including chai!
And small personal trees are the most wonderful.
I was only mentioning you the other day in our kitchen, Julian said about Flagstaff getting snow and I said "Gemma's family lives there!" and he said, "How is she anyways???"
    :)
    Meaning you, how are YOU!?
I said, "Mystical, wonderful and lovely as always."
