My first postcard for the new year is also for  Inspiration avenue. The theme: "Something old, something new".
On my dad's old Remington typewriter, I  typed the new year greetings.
The keys and ribbon are so old that the message was faint, so I went high tech with pen and paper.

With love and best wishes for 2012.

  8. What a great idea -- something old and something new. How I loved those old typewriters. It was there I learned to type 90 words wpm. Happy new year.

  9. my children asked Santa for one of those typewriters a few years back - they still write stories on it and it fascinates their friends who come to play! Welcome 2012!

  11. This is a really smart and fun interpretation of the theme (-: And it makes me think back to when I was younger! Up until I was fifteen, I was computerless and had to deal with an old-school typewriter for typewritten assignments. Love that you are entering 2012 with something that is such a throwback, and inspirational on many levels. Happy New Year!
