Virgin a Day

Joe Spado was a friend.
You might say he was the kind of man who
'never met a stranger'.
~
We became friends here @
~
One day after posting this
water color painting,
Joe contacted me wanting a copy of it.
~

I photo transferred  a copy onto canvas board,
polished, then added copper, gold and rose
metallic colors....and sent it to him.
~
To honor Joe
She is my offering
here today.
~
In turn Joe sent me a wonderful gourd rattle
he made.
A treasure.

REST IN PEACE
dear friend

  6. A beautiful madonna for you and for Joe and I know you must cherish your rattle. The last post I got from him was when I posted this year's Day of the Dead altar photos. I remember what elaborate ones he and his wife created. Though I didn't know him personally, how I wish I had. He lived his life so very fully.

  7. I love that Joe has something from so many of us since it seems he left us more than we could've possibly given him!

    Peace.
