White Christmas in the desert

It rarely snows in the desert.
If I want a white Christmas
I go out to the fields and pick cotton.
bring it home, rearrange Manzanita branches,
and add some bows.
twinkling white lights @ night.

Viola, desert Ikebana white Christmas arrangement!

  1. THAT is beautyful,,,what a great idea!
    I don't remember ever seeing a "real"
cotton ball with my own hands :)
When the hols are over, it will still be
the perfect little arrangement without the bows.
    You are so damn creative!

  2. I just LOVE the fluff of cotton plants. Your use of the bols on manzanita is a total success.

  3. Love your cotton plants. I've never held one either. Love your state. I think of my dad being raised in Glendale. Have a great weekend Gemma. Take care..
