Waiting for fruit to ripen sometimes seems like an endless task--but, oh, the sweet rewards!
Oh, oh, oh! I LOVE pomegranates Gemma! And this baby... how precious the seeds it holds for the Fall...
Beautiful summer of anticipation ahead!Enjoy the growth, lovely one! Big hugs to you!
Oh my this is a sweet looking piece of nature's art. Is this the actual fruit, or the flowering seed? Thanks for sharing this interesting photo. I have never seen one growing. xoxo Thanks too for the Buddy vote.
It will turn into a fruit. Those petal things will eventually shrink and be one end of it's core.
the seeds are the fruit...
What a creative and delightful shot and haiku ~ Beautiful!Happy Weekend to you ~ ^_^
oh gemma-you have awakened such a sweet memory from my youth. a sign on the side of a country road for pomegranates. we stopped and we invited to sit in the shady backyard. when i remarked at how beautiful their living fence of pomegranate trees was the older couple smiled and recounted 45 years ago when they married and moved to this oasis of land and decided to plant tiny saplings all the way around their land dreaming how one day it would be a blooming, fruiting fence around their lives together. i think of them and their love in with every bright shiny pomegranate heart i see.
