Truth/Connection
Nothing can be truer than the love connection I have with my Uncle Jimmy.

Jimmy is my Mom's older brother.
He is the oldest living relative from that line of Irish immigrants.
His smile is crooked from all those years of telling jokes. His laughing eyes speak more than his baritone whiskey voice.Such a fun mischievious rascal.

Old tools,a welding torch,a couple of old boats, a camp trailer and a riding lawn mower are among some of the litter in his yard. The township where he lives has told him to clean up his property it's an eyesore. Slowly he is working on it.

Last week at his wife's 90th birthday party...Yes they are both up and around...
I ask him how he was feeling. He answered "Well, I have to crawl into bed at night with a 90 year old woman."

He has had a long and beautiful life. Full of service and love. He has made so many people laugh with his practical jokes and cry with his tenderness.
I love him so.
This is my truth.
This is my connection.
