Spilled Drink Experiment
My friend Tinker accidently spilled her drink on a blank page. She looked at it and could see an image of an owl hiding in there. You know how we see images in stucco and stains and in the clouds? Anyway she started painting away and sure enough an owl came out in the painting. So Tinker decided to try an experiment. She ask us to try spilling a drink on paper to see what we could see.
A cup of tea,Chai tea with milk, was so good I almost drank it all while I was arranging my paper. Fortunately there was enough left to spill. Wiggle wiggle shake shake....and it was on the page. First thing I saw was two faces looking at me from out of a window. I grabbed my oil pastels and viola...my experiment complete.
The paper is kinda wrinkled up.
This was fun. If you want you can try it too.
Oh I love it! What a happy experiment. Sorry to keep you from enjoying all of your chai - but at the same time, glad you had enough left to spill, lol. Thanks for taking part in the experiment, Gemma! xo
ReplyDeleteWhat amazing colors, Gemma. I don't think you've ever done a piece that I haven't loved. I cannot remember if you posted your Different Strokes piece here too, but I just noted it on that blog and it is amazing and one of my favorites. Sigh...I want to be like you when I grow up!!!
ReplyDeleteYes I love the colors too. I've done that before with paint. Just dabbed different paint colors over the canvas, let it dry and you can actually see all kinds of things materialize. Mystele does that all the time and comes up with some fabulous paintings. It's a great job Gemma. Thanks for sharing. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI also love the colors! Happy colors and happy thoughts...
ReplyDeleteNot being gifted with artistic ability, I love to look at the beautiful things others create. Thank you for posting your art.
Am I crazy or what? I can't see any artwork here???
