Virtual Paintout

This is the church at Peggy's Cove.
It's at 54 Peggy's Point Rd. Halifax N.S. Canada.
I have been working on several different google street views in Nova Scotia. I particularly like Peggy's Cove. There is a lighthouse there, lots of fishing boats and houses spread out on a bluff overlooking the sea.

  1. Gemma, you have so much talent. I have never been able to draw/paint landscape. I just can't get the lay of the land. Wonderful painting, actually it's beautiful. It makes you feel like you want to be there. Thanks for sharing. Have a great Sunday.

  3. What a neat idea and fantastic painting! I know that church and you really captured its essence. Interesting you're doing a Nova Scotia virtual paintout. Smart to choose Peggy's, it is a treasure here in Nova Scotia! Off to check out the other paintings, thanks so much Gemma.

  4. You have such a clean style, Gemma. I love this painting, this view. I always think of Ireland as both uber green and with rocky shores, for some reason. The sky is fabulous, the architecture lovely. Great, great job!!

  11. Gemma, I love the colors - the roof of the church and the sky together are wonderful. Do you know what kind of church? This reminds me so much of the Episcopalian church in Bismarck here - from the pure white stucco (?) of the walls - even tho the roof is dark grey - to the style of the steeple. Our Lutheran churches here on the prairie are all clapboard siding.
