Haiki My Heart

O cactus flower
alone on a hill you bloom
where no can see you.

Hot sun, no water
fragile yet bold in the wind
How do you flourish?

Teach me how to live
Giving my gifts to the world
without a witness.

  1. Yes, cactus flower, teach me, too! I love this photo. Is it a digital collage or right out of the camera? And I love when all of you write haiku in stanzas. I'm hard-pressed to come up with one haiku let alone three or more.

  8. Oh, Gemma, this is so open and human! The lessons of the cactus flower are many: how to be humble, how to be self-caring, how to be fed from the inside... Beautiful! The image is spectacular; when I enlarge it, I see the shapes of life forms in the web of lines, the crown of roses. Thank you for this! Hugs
