I love this image. I love cactus. For me, some of the most gorgeous blooms are found on a cactus. Just the right words and image for Magic!
Lovely! I haven't seen the desert bloom in a while. Makes me think I better be ready for the next one. Beautiful photo and haiku description.Peace
Yes, I believe I hear those whispers...
Third attempt at posting. Blogger messup. Anyhow, your photo and words are beautiful and imagine what beautiful secrets the flower could spill from its breath if only it could.
dear gemma,so much beauty flourishing in the hot hot sun!thank you for being here...spilling the hint of ancient secrets.
This reminds me of another haiku you wrote about the cactus bloom that was so lovely. The cactus is a very good teacher and you are one who sees very clearly. Beautiful image and haiku.xoxo,Noelle
What a beautiful photo and haiku! We don't have cactusses in Holland (well, we have the small ones to keep inside in a pot) and I love the look of this big, flowering cactus in the hot sun!
those flowers are stunning! love your haiku!
those flowers really are "elegant secrets!" it's interesting how many of us had a flower theme for this week's haiku my heart...
Gemma, what a clever haiku to accompany a great photo! =)
Another gorgeous desert flower and haiku. Thanks for sharing.
For all the obvious clues that this is a desert beauty, this bristly blooming cactus seems to hint at some long ago deep-sea secret. Enchanting!
Seeing your photo gave me an instant jolt of joy - I love the desert and cacti in particular. It's so beautiful...as is your haiku!
I love this, Gemma! The burst fuchsia blossoms are whispering those secrets to the world while the little orbs on the cactus are waiting for their turn... I would love to be still next to this cactus and listen quietly.
