Haiku My Heart

A time travel scent
footsteps on crushed lavendar
to Grandma's canyon

She used to walk there
gathering fragrant moments
of time to herself

Now and whenever
I want to revisit her
lavendar transports

to
Haiku my heart completely.

  5. Fragrance is such a strong reminder of the past. Whenever I smell fresh baked bread, I am transported to my grandparents' kitchen.

  9. What lovely haikus in honor of your grandma. You did a full story in three rounds of haiku, or do we call them verses?
